Η Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez στο Vanity Fair

To Vanity Fair αποκάλυψε το εξώφυλλό του για το τεύχος Δεκεμβρίου, λίγες μέρες πριν τις αμερικανικές εκλογές. Στο εξώφυλλο ποζάρει η Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, ένα από τα πιο δυναμικά πρόσωπα της γενιάς μας που παλεύει για τα ανθρώπινα δικαιώματα όσο κανείς άλλος μέχρι σήμερα. Τα σύνολα που φόρεσε η Αμερικανίδα πολιτικός είναι επιλεγμένα με προσοχή και αποπνέουν έναν δυναμισμό που ταίριαξε απόλυτα στο ύφος της. Τα outfits αυτά λοιπόν δεν πέρασαν απαρατήρητα από τον κόσμο της μόδας, και σίγουρα είναι ένα θέμα άξιο συζήτησης.

Η ισχυρή παρουσία της AOC σε συνδυασμό με την σύγχρονη μόδα και το signature κόκκινο κραγιόν της, είχε ως αποτέλεσμα μια πολύ εντυπωσιακή φωτογράφιση.

Η Nicole Martine Chapoteau, fashion editor του περιοδικού, επιλέγει να ντύσει την Cortez με ρούχα που εκφράζουν απόλυτα τη δυναμική της παρουσία, επομένως για το εξώφυλλο επέλεξε να την ντύσει με ένα κρεμ κοστούμι Aliétte, που ήταν αναμφίβολα ένα κλασικό και διαχρονικό look που απόπνεε το απόλυτο confidence αυτής της προσωπικότητας.

Σε ένα πιο θηλυκό version του εαυτού της, βλέπουμε την AOC να φοράει ένα φόρεμα Wales Bonner με επιβλητικό κολάρο και να ολοκληρώνετε το look με ένα μίνιμαλ μακιγιάζ, αντί του κόκκινου κραγιόν που μας έχει συνωθήσει.Απαρατήρητο δεν μπορούσε να περάσει ούτε το μαύρο Loewe κοστούμι της με μακριά κρόσσια στο πλάι, κάνοντάς την να φαίνεται γεμάτη αυτοπεποίθηση και στυλ.

@AOC’s aspirations are a matter of endless speculation: New York Senate, House leadership, a Cabinet post? Despite the base level of ego required to run for any office, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez seems uncomfortable with the mania about her future—so much so that discussing what lies ahead is one of the few times that the congresswoman seems guarded and cautious about her words: “I don’t know if I’m really going to be staying in the House forever,” she tells V.F. Με το μίνιμαλ styling της όλης φωτογράφισης, πρωταγωνιστές στις σελίδες του περιοδικού ήταν η ίδια και ο δυναμικός της χαρακτήρας, που παλεύει για τα ανθρώπινα δικαιώματα, των LGBTQI+ ανθρώπων και όλων των περιθωριοποιημένων κοινοτήτων.

«Δεν ξέρω αν θα μείνω στον Οίκο για πάντα. Αλλά την ίδια ώρα, δεν θέλω να αγωνιστώ για μια υψηλότερη θέση απλά για ένα τίτλο ή απλά για μια καλύτερη θέση. Προσπαθώ πραγματικά να κάνω μια αξιολόγηση και να δω πώς μπορώ να έχω περισσότερο αντίκτυπο», λέει σχετικά στη συνέντευξη.
